I have been so unlucky, I haven’t seen the loony bird around this year. I wrote about this coastal diver on my NemobySea blog and I miss the sparkling of their glitzy feathers in the dull winter waters. It hasn’t felt like a good year for birds at all at the Thanet coast, my fingers are tightly crossed for the return of the avocet nesting at one of the local lagoons in the summer.
